Bethel Student Government Social Media Strategy

From August 2022 to May 2023, I served as the Director of Social Media for Bethel University's Student Government and worked cross-functionally with eight different branches to broadcast the mission, events, and eight branches (distinct clubs within the organization) of BSG to the student body. I was responsible for maintaining a monthly content calendar, covering live events on a weekly basis, and curating innovative content that touched the hearts and minds of students. Tracking progress since September 2022, I increased the BSG Instagram's (@bethelstudentgovernment) reach by 59.4%, increased engagement by 31.7%, and raised follower count by 4.8%.

I magnified a consumer-centric approach that valued the students' experience, leading with empathy, tenacity and attention to detail and collaborated with graphic designers and videographers to deliver visually-appealing marketing material across campus. Lastly, I also created a social media strategy guide for future BSG marketing team to leverage and consisted of key brand guidelines, suggested processes, insights, and proposed recommendations.
